Install alarms on every level of your home, inside every bedroom, and outside every sleeping area. Test monthly. Replace any alarm older than 10 years.

Keep anything flammable at least three feet away. Plug directly into the wall — never into an extension cord. Turn off when you leave the room.

Our volunteers can test your alarms, replace batteries, and advise on upgrades. Call the non-emergency line and we'll set it up.
