Applicants must be at least 18. Younger community members interested in fire service should ask about cadet opportunities.
You should live in or near the district so you can respond to calls in a reasonable timeframe.
All applicants undergo a background check. Fire service members are trusted with access to homes and sensitive situations.
You don't need to be a marathon runner — but you do need to be able to wear the gear and do the work.
Applications can be obtained at New Baden Village Hall, 1 E Hanover St (Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).
Membership meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Emergency Services Building.
